What your car needs

A screen with CarPlay that works with a USB cable, from the factory or an aftermarket unit with CarPlay. This device works through that CarPlay, so without it, it cannot work.

Solution:

No CarPlay at all (old radio or basic screen): the Smart Screen QLED with the dashboard frame for your car. An aftermarket Android screen without CarPlay: the Carlinkit CCPA. Android Auto only, with an Android phone: the Carlinkit A2A. Not sure what your car has? See how to check.

• Tesla
  Tesla cars have no factory CarPlay or Android Auto, so this device cannot work in them and we hide it on Tesla pages.
  Solution: the Carlinkit T2C for Tesla, or see all CarPlay devices for Tesla.
• BMW
  Carlinkit states this model is not compatible with BMW, so we hide it on BMW pages.
  Solution: see the CarPlay devices that fit BMW, or choose the Carlinkit Tbox Ultra 3.
• Skoda (calls)
  Carlinkit says Tbox boxes may have call quality problems in Skoda cars when they connect as CarPlay: the other side may not hear you well.
  Solution: switch the box to the Android Auto channel from its button or settings. The car then sees it as Android Auto and uses the microphone normally. The screen still shows the box, and your iPhone still connects to the box wirelessly as usual. Your Skoda must have Android Auto, as most CarPlay Skodas do. Or see the wireless CarPlay adapters that fit Skoda, which do not have this problem.
• Mazda, Hyundai Ioniq and Toyota 2023 / 2024
  Carlinkit says the USB port in these cars may not give the box enough power, so it can restart or disconnect.
  Solution: add the Carlinkit power cable or the USB power box for stable power.
